McDonald County Litter Control & Recycling

Our program combines county-wide Recycling and Litter Control service to all residents and businesses in McDonald county.

The central Recycling Facility is located behind the courthouse at 215 E. 7th Street in Pineville.

RECYCLING Materials we can accept include:

  • Cardboard
  • White Paper
  • Brown Paper (including cereal-type and beverage boxes)
  • Newspaper
  • Glass
  • Electronics / Batteries
  • #1 & #2 Plastic (Bottles & Jugs Only)
  • Aluminum & Tin Cans
  • Scrap Metal
  • Appliances
  • Magazines & Books

Materials we unfortunately cannot accept include:

  • Tires*
  • CRT / Old "Box-style" TVs & Monitors*
  • Medical Waste & Containers / Unused & Expired Medicine **
  • Styrofoam**
  • Paint**
  • Lumber / Building Materials
  • PVC, PEX, water hose, and any other plastic/rubber pipe
  • ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD or household GARBAGE.

* We try to host special collection events for certain materials about once a year. Call or visit our website for details about upcoming events.

** We can direct you to other locations in our area that can process these types of materials, please call for information.


Litter Control:

As part of our program we also clean up the county roads. We offer Community Service credit hours and we are also happy to work with area businesses, informal groups, individuals, and all organizations who would like to help beautify the county. Call us and we'll make it easy to get you started!
